My love of words and their power to influence and inspire led me to begin writing my own reflections of the ordinary over a decade ago. It has long been a dream to broaden the scope of this passion. I am excited to launch this site and welcome you to join me on this path to find the extra in the ordinary.
Daily I resolve to walk the talk and pray something you read here will touch you deeply, make you smile, cause you to ponder, or become a call to action.

Leading and Learning.
As an educational leader, I am still learning. Just when I think I’ve seen it all … well, I haven’t. From lessons plans to entry plans and everything in between, I enjoy sharing leadership insights from my 30 years in public education.
Faithfully Following.
I have a strong desire to encourage others and nurture my own spiritual growth. My writing began with a series of devotionals which I refer to as Mug Shots. I previously shared these with colleagues and my church family. Now, I offer them to you as well.
